New Aadhaar Enrolment and Update Charges
The Aadhaar card carries a 12-digit unique identity number issued by the Government of India and is one of the most important documents for bank accounts, government schemes, SIM cards and many other services. To get a new Aadhaar or a biometric update, you need to visit an Aadhaar center. It is important to know how much is charged at the center so that you do not pay anyone extra. This page gives information about the charges for new enrolment and updates.

Enrolment / Update Process at the Aadhaar Center
- Choose your nearest Aadhaar center and book a slot using “Book an Appointment” on the UIDAI portal.
- Carry your original documents to the center.
- Give your details to the center operator and, if required, provide your biometrics (photo, fingerprint, iris).
- Pay the prescribed fee for the service and make sure you take the receipt / acknowledgement slip.
- Keep tracking the update status on the UIDAI portal using the request number on the slip.

Important Points

- A child's biometric update is mandatory at the ages of 5 and 15.

- बच्चों का अनिवार्य बायोमेट्रिक अपडेट (5 से 17 वर्ष) 30 सितंबर 2026 तक निःशुल्क है। उसके बाद निर्धारित शुल्क लग सकता है।
- बायोमेट्रिक अपडेट के साथ ही डेमोग्राफिक जानकारी बदलवाने पर उसका अलग शुल्क नहीं लगता।
आधार केंद्र पर नामांकन / अपडेट की प्रक्रिया
- UIDAI पोर्टल पर "Book an Appointment" से नज़दीकी आधार केंद्र चुनें और स्लॉट बुक करें।
- केंद्र पर अपने मूल दस्तावेज़ साथ ले जाएं।
- केंद्र के ऑपरेटर को जानकारी दें, और ज़रूरत हो तो बायोमेट्रिक (फोटो, फिंगरप्रिंट, आइरिस) दें।
- सेवा का निर्धारित शुल्क दें और रसीद / एक्नॉलेजमेंट स्लिप ज़रूर लें।
- स्लिप पर मिले रिक्वेस्ट नंबर से UIDAI पोर्टल पर अपडेट की स्थिति देखते रहें।
